How Did Best Marketing Start?

In 2019, Jim Ng started Best Marketing from his bedroom in Singapore. He had no clients, no team, and no reputation. What he did have was a belief that marketing agencies should be judged by one thing only: whether they make their clients money.

That belief came from observing the industry up close. Jim watched businesses around him spend tens of thousands on agencies that produced beautiful reports filled with impressions, clicks, and followers, but no actual revenue. Businesses were frustrated, confused, and often locked into contracts they could not escape.

Jim started making 70 cold calls a day. Most people said no. Some said yes. Those first few clients got his complete attention, and they got results. Word spread. Referrals came in. The business grew.

Within two years, Best Marketing had outgrown a home office. The team expanded from one to five, then to ten, and now to fourteen. The client list grew from a handful to over 146 across 43 industries. The revenue generated for clients crossed $33 million.

But the principle stayed the same: every campaign must be traceable to leads and revenue. If it does not make the client money, it does not matter how good the dashboard looks.
