How the EDGE Grant Works for Digital Marketing in Singapore
Enterprise Singapore's PSG ended on 29 September 2026. Since 30 September, a Singapore company that wants grant support for digital marketing applies under the EDGE grant instead. This guide covers what EDGE is, who qualifies, what it will and will not pay for, and the order of steps, so you can decide before you talk to any vendor, us included.
As Featured In
SMEs are eligible for up to 50% business grant support for the adoption of DM Best Big Boss Digital Marketing Packages, a Pre-Approved Solution under the IMDA SMEs Go Digital programme.
What Is the EDGE Grant?
EDGE is Enterprise Singapore's combined business grant. It launched on 30 September 2026, merging three older schemes into one: the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) and the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG). Instead of working out which scheme your project fits, you choose the activity you want funded and apply for that.
Enterprise Singapore says EDGE covers eight business areas and more than 150 activities, from automation and digitalisation to business strategy, financial management, innovation, internationalisation, standards and sustainability. Digital marketing sits under automation and digitalisation, as one of the single-function digital solutions that pre-approved vendors offer through IMDA's SMEs Go Digital programme. EDGE was announced in Budget 2026 and, unlike PSG, it is open to companies that are not SMEs.
Support level
Up to 50%
For most activities, digital marketing included, SMEs get up to 50% support and non-SMEs up to 30%. Internationalisation and sustainability activities go up to 70% and 50%.
Annual cap
S$100,000
The most one company can receive across every EDGE activity in a year. The year runs from 1 April to 31 March, so apply before 31 March to use this year's allowance.
For digital solutions
S$30,000
The part of that cap you can put towards single-function digital solutions such as digital marketing, integrated enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment.
How it pays
Reimbursed
You pay the vendor in full and finish the project first. Then you claim, and Enterprise Singapore pays the grant into your company's bank account.
What Happened to the PSG Grant for Digital Marketing?
Enterprise Singapore stopped accepting PSG applications after 29 September 2026. Digital marketing did not lose its support; it moved into EDGE. If you applied for PSG before 30 September, your application is still assessed under PSG's rules, and an approved project runs to its claim as normal.
| Topic | PSG (closed 29 Sep 2026) | EDGE (from 30 Sep 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Who can apply | SMEs only: group sales up to S$100 million or up to 200 employees | SMEs, and for the first time companies that are not SMEs |
| Support for digital marketing | Up to 50% for SMEs | Up to 50% for SMEs, up to 30% for non-SMEs |
| Time to an answer | Usually about six weeks | About one week for this activity |
| What you submit | Vendor quotation, three years of financial statements and details of the business impact | Vendor quotation, a package reference ID from SMEs Go Digital and a one-year projection of expected cost savings |
| Proof when you claim | Invoice, proof of payment, a usage report and a photo of the licence number | Proof of payment and a photo of the software deployed, showing its unique identifier |
| Cap | Up to S$30,000 | S$30,000 a year for digital solutions, within S$100,000 a year across all EDGE activities |
PSG schemes run by other agencies, outside Enterprise Singapore, are moving to EDGE in phases from November 2026.
Who Can Apply for the EDGE Grant?
A business registered and operating in Singapore, at least 30% owned by Singapore citizens or permanent residents, can apply, as long as it has not started the project or paid the vendor anything before applying. For digital marketing, the business also cannot be home-based, and it has to use the solution in Singapore.
You can apply if
- Your business is registered and operating in Singapore.
- Singapore citizens or permanent residents ultimately own at least 30% of it, directly or indirectly.
- You will use the solution in Singapore, for your own company rather than a subsidiary or related company.
- You can submit a current tenancy agreement for the place you operate from.
- You will still meet these conditions when you claim, not only when you apply.
You cannot apply if
- Your business is home-based.
- You are a charity, society, religious body, voluntary welfare organisation, statutory board or government subsidiary.
- You have already started work, paid or put down a deposit with the vendor.
- You have applied for grant support for this solution before.
- The vendor has any relationship with your company, its directors or its shareholders.
SME or not: why it matters
Whether you get up to 50% or up to 30% depends on whether you count as an SME. Enterprise Singapore defines an SME as a company whose group has annual sales of no more than S$100 million, or no more than 200 workers. The group means any company that owns more than half of yours, and any company yours owns more than half of.
What Digital Marketing Can the EDGE Grant Cover?
The grant supports pre-approved digital marketing packages listed on IMDA's SMEs Go Digital portal, which help a business create, run and improve its online marketing. IMDA's category covers search engine optimisation, search engine marketing and social media marketing. What is supported is what the approved package contains, from the day you apply, once approved.
Covered
- A digital marketing package from a vendor listed on SMEs Go Digital, exactly as the package is scoped there.
- The software in the package, for up to 12 months. Professional services that are part of the approved package can also be supported.
- Costs you incur from the date you submit your application, if the application is approved.
Not covered
- GST and maintenance costs.
- Work that started, or anything you paid for, before you submitted the application.
- Media you buy from Google, Meta or other platforms, which Enterprise Singapore does not list as a supported cost.
- Work outside the approved package, or work by a different vendor from the one approved.
- Costs that another government grant has already approved.
One application, so choose well
Enterprise Singapore limits selected single-function digital solutions to one application per company, and the digital marketing activity excludes a company that has applied for grant support for the same solution before. Pick the package that fixes your biggest bottleneck.

BizSG lists GenAI marketing and sales content generation as a separate activity next to digital marketing, with its own vendors on SMEs Go Digital.
How to Apply for the EDGE Grant, Step by Step
You apply yourself, on the Business Grants Portal, through your company's Corppass. The vendor gives you a quotation, and you build a matching package on SMEs Go Digital first. Enterprise Singapore does not let vendors or any other third party submit applications, change requests or claims for you, or pay on your behalf.
- 1
Check you qualify
Run through the eligibility list above. Make sure someone in your company has a Corppass account with the BGP Preparer or BGP Acceptor role, because only they can submit.
- 2
Choose a pre-approved package
Compare vendors in the digital marketing category on IMDA's SMEs Go Digital portal, and pick the package that matches the problem you want to solve.
- 3
Get the vendor's quotation
The vendor confirms the package suits you and issues a quotation. Do not pay anything, or let any work start, at this stage.
- 4
Build the package, get a reference ID
Select the same package on SMEs Go Digital and adjust it until it matches the quotation exactly. Then sign in with Corppass to generate a package reference ID.
- 5
Apply on the Business Grants Portal
Submit your application with the reference ID, the quotation and a projection of the cost savings you expect in the year after the project. Enterprise Singapore says the outcome takes about a week.
- 6
Accept the Letter of Offer
If you are approved, accept the Letter of Offer. It states the grant amount, the conditions, the project period and the deliverables. The project must finish within 18 months of approval.
- 7
Run the project, pay in full
Pay the vendor directly and in full, and keep the proof. At the end, photograph the software in use showing its unique identifier, such as a user ID or licence number.
- 8
Claim and get reimbursed
Submit one final claim before the claim due date. Claims for digital solutions open from 1 November 2026. Once a claim is approved, PayNow Corporate pays within 14 working days; GIRO can take up to eight weeks.
Want to start before the outcome? Enterprise Singapore says payments made after your submission date can be supported if the application is then approved, but if it is not, the cost is yours.
Five Questions to Ask Any Vendor Before You Apply
Many grant problems start before the application is filed: a package that does not fit, a deposit taken too early, or a promise the grant cannot keep. Put these five questions to any vendor, including us, and you will know where you stand before anything is signed.
Is this exact package listed on SMEs Go Digital?
Only pre-approved packages qualify. Check the listing on the portal yourself, because your quotation and the package you build there have to match line for line.
Do you want any payment before I apply?
The answer should be no. A deposit paid before you submit makes the application retrospective, and Enterprise Singapore does not support retrospective applications.
Who will submit the application and the claim?
You will. A vendor that offers to apply for you, manage the grant or file the claim is offering something Enterprise Singapore does not allow.
Are you promising more support by combining grants?
Be wary. Enterprise Singapore says EDGE is not supportable under the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit, and EDGE cannot fund costs that another grant has already approved.
What happens when the package ends?
The grant supports one defined package. Ask what the package aims to achieve, how results will be reported and what it costs to continue, before you commit.
